Hainan Airlines (HU) announced to start  international passenger service  for  Beijing – Shanghai Pudong – Boston and Beijing – Shanghai Pudong – Seattle routes. As HU planned, the new service to Boston is scheduled for 3 flights per week with B787 and service to Seattle is 4 flights per week with A330. At present, Hainan Airlines only operates domestic services with 8 flights weekly.
